Brown, who graduated from Plainfield High School with degrees from Rutgers University and NYU, graciously accepted the award on behalf of his crew.  “This film wasn’t about the hype. It wasn’t about the money. It wasn’t about anything else but reaching people and changing them…” stated Brown with deep emotion and sincerity.

The film, which premiered January 24  at the Egyptian Theater in Park City Utah, sold out all six of its screenings before the festival began.  The film  buzzed on the streets and was well positioned with posters and specially designed caps and t-shirts.  Street teams vigorously distributed postcards while successfully capturing the attention of the  Sundance audience.  Social media such as Facebook and Twitter also helped to catapult this beautifully told story into the psyche of Sundance.
